CONTACT METHOD: Plurk:
MK_otro; Discord: MK otro#3158; PM me here!
THREAD-JACKING: Always and forever fine with it
FOURTH WALLING / CANON PUNCTURE: Not really? We can lean on it, but I'd prefer not to do it unless it's within the context of IC timeline complications
BACKTAGGING: ALWAYS (that's a yes it's cool)
AVOIDED TOPICS: Um. Explicit sexual content, graphic violence (explicit gore), politics, very biased perspectives on topics (canon and RL) that can easily become a 'I'm always correct and no one else's viewpoint matters' or a 'I don't like x and I'll tell you why also you suck if you don't like x with me' or some variant of that because I don't care if you don't like it just leave me alone about it, man
PREFERRED GENDER PRONOUN: she/her (but if you can't remember, they/them is fine)
IC CHARACTERISTICS
CURRENT CANON POINT: Bad Batch era (End of season 1)
PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: Echo's full armor kit is now painted in shades of gray, black, and redbecause he hangs out with the kids that shop at Hot Topic, and appears to be a modified version of the ARC Trooper armor he used to have. Aside from the sloped helmet and the kama, it's visually distinct from the Katarn-class armor the commandos wear, with accents that echo the style of the more common phase II clone armor most clones are issued.
And, well. He's 6'1" now. Very lean, leaner than he used to be. Also he's practically half-machine.
Under the helmet and the armor, he'sa freaking skeleton a clone that severely needs medical attention and proper nutrition. And maybe a sweater. None of it is his fault, however; the Techno Union had a hand in ruining the man's health for science and profit.
Calling him 'sickly' is being kind in this regard; discoloration of the skin, sunken eyes, noticeable sharp angles and contours around his face, metal nodes lining his cranium where his hair should be - it's not great, but that's that.
DEMEANOR: He's much more dour, but he has reason to be like that. Especially when he works with the Bad Batch. But there are shades of his former self underneath the trauma and the grump he puts up front. He still has the resolve to fight for what's right and he's still loyal to the cause even if there is no Republic anymore. Still a soldier, albeit a tired one.
ABILITIES:
Clone Trooper: Clones are created from a template of the bounty hunter Jango Fett. The genetic material of said template has been modified in several ways: accelerating aging so clones can grow and mature twice as fast; adjusting stats like strength and endurance for better physical performance; managing aggression levels and the need for independence so that clones will be compliant and obedient to orders. With these features, the perfect soldier is ready to fight for the Republic at a moment's notice. But even with these advantages, they're still human, they're still mortal, and they continue to learn and individualize long after they leave the cloning facilities.
Echo has kept his individuality and is still learning how to work his way through a time where he and the other clones are quickly becoming irrelevant. And he basically has the most common sense out of the Bad Batch when it matters.
Weapons Specialist: Echo can use most weapons, ranging from military-issue blasters (that can also be set to stun), a set of pistols, a rifle, "droid poppers" (ion/electro-magnetic pulse grenades), thermal detonators, and frag grenades. He can also fight without a weapon, but hand-to-hand combat usually serves as a second or third option down the line (or, in special cases i.e. whenever he and Hevy argued).
He currently wields a DC-17 (pistol) in-canon, but will still use other blasters/weapons whenever he swaps duties with his Bad Batch teammates amid blaster fire. Or improvise if there are no weapons to speak of. Just try not to be a droid around his scomp arm.
Technical Angle: Thanks to Kamino's flash training sessions, he knows how to work technology (i.e. datapads and small devices) and handle bridge duties, sitting at the control panels of a station or ship to make sure everything is working according to standard procedure. He now helps copilot the Havoc Marauder, filling the role more often than not. He also repairs and maintains the ship no matter the situation, going about it at his own pace whenever the Bad Batch not being shot at.
His scomp arm is technically a new addition, allowing him the ability to splice/hack/interface with computer systems. This, however, may be useless in Temba or Sh'ka, so it may remain a secondary weapon of sorts.
Tactically-minded: Because he is able to retain information like a sponge, Echo has a tendency to save almost everything he's read or talked about with others. Sometimes it's rules and regulations. Other times it's a personal learning experience that can be adapted out in other situations. And then there's the large-scale strategic plotting for future battles to ensure the Republic has the upper hand over Separatist schemes and invasions.
UNFORTUNATELY his ability to strategize and create battle plans is used against the Republic, becoming a Prisoner of War and a science project for the Separatists to take advantage of.
MEDICAL INFORMATION: oh gosh where do I start
To be frank, the man should be dead. Apparently one large shuttle explosion wasn't enough to kill him.
He isn't in the best shape, but he's aliveand insane enough to fight back even with all of the handicaps his has in place. He's malnourished, missing three limbs (both legs have been replaced with prosthetics, and his right hand is now a cybernetic scomp link designed to plug into interfaces), and has an obvious neural implant/device/band attached around the back of his head to stabilize his...brain. Neural stuff. Synapses. CEREBRAL ACTIVITY.
So yeah. Cyborg man. He does not like medical exams anymore.
OFFENSIVE SUBJECTS: The Galactic Empire (enough said), slavery (oh, he totally gets it now), being treated less than human (???), Separatists (because THEY WERE THE ENEMY), droids (same as Separatists, will be more mellow with other droid models), I dunno I'll think of it when it comes up
OTHER: Still remembers everything from TRP canon, just in case (note for meeee)
IC PERMISSIONS
MENTAL: Let's do it. Although he has a neural device installed to ward against technological interference, it's not foolproof. And anything more on the supernatural/magic side may do more damage and that's OK to do! I mean he won't like it but I'm flexible.
MIMICRY:Just like school all over again He'll be annoyed by it, but it won't trigger murder mode.
VIOLENCE: Always. Let's fight. Just because he has one arm doesn't mean he's a pushover.
MAGIC: USE MAGIC do the thing
DEBATE: It depends. He'll do it to get his point across and he'll stand his ground. But if it starts to go in circles, he'll abandon it for the sake of his sanity.
OTHER / NOTES: Traumatized by the war, being experimented on, living through Interesting Times (tm). I don't know what else I can add. There's a lot he's gone through and other people will list those out for you but I don't want to make you suffer unless you really want to know more?
